Arizona State University Center for Civic Education and Leadership

Housed in ASU’s College of Teacher Education and Leadership, the Center for Civic Education and Leadership conducts research to improve the state of civic education and civic engagement. Recent research has focused on social studies in grades K-8, civic education teachers, and the Citizenship Counts Naturalization Ceremony. The center coordinates a civic education summer camp and Our Courts, a web-based civic education program for middle-school students conceived by Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.
