Arizona State University Changemaker Central

Established in the fall of 2011, Changemaker Central is a student led university initiative with co-working spaces on all four Arizona State University (ASU) campuses. Changemaker Central engages students in sustained social change through community service, entrepreneurship, service learning, and high impact careers (AmeriCorps, PeaceCorps and Teach for America). A student leadership team oversees programs cultivating a culture at ASU that tackles local and global challenges through collaboration, innovation and diverse approaches to problem solving. Two ASU staff members advise student leaders in the implementation of the mission and vision. Changemaker Central collaborates with local, national and global community organizations through monthly thematic programming that addresses critical community concerns such as homelessness & hunger, human rights, sustainability, and ensuring that children and youth succeed. Changemaker Central has four signature programs: 10,0000 Solutions, the Innovation Challenge, Ignite @ ASU and Devils in Disguise, ASU’s largest day of service involving more than 750 students last year.
